Welcome

With grateful hearts, we share our thoughts on redemption through Jesus Christ and His saving blood and what it looks like in our daily walk.

We gladly welcome your comments and input.

It's NOT Over

Don't listen to big media the NON stimulus bill is not a done deal. It has to go back to conference committee and then be agreed upon by the House and Senate. Keep calling your Senators and Congressman.

More and more info is coming out about the hidden plans and programs in this bill. Things like the Health Care issue Meems linked an article to in her last post. The left is trying to circumvent the American process of debate and dicourse and ram this through as quickly as possible. We all know that the spending in this bill is out of control, and now we are finding out there is legislation that has nothing to do with stimulus or the economy and effects other areas of our domestic policy. THIS IS NOT HOW POLICY IS SUPPOSED TO BE LEGISLATED.

Where is the transparency that Barrack promised? Where are the ethical restraints? Where is the compromise and unity? It is completely missing.

Please I know it takes time, but let your voice be heard. The roars are growing louder and even though it seems to be falling on deaf ears it will only take a few votes to switch to stop this horrible train wreck. Every minute this bill is held up in the process the dissaproval of the American people grows greater. These legislators are in a position to serve us, the people, not dictate policy. Let them know firmly that they need to listen to our opinion.

Lastly I leave you with this from the late Dr. Adrian Rogers.

“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that, my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.
You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”

i hear your heart, N.T., but the late news tonight says Congress and the White House reached agreement on the $790B stimulus package. BHO could sign within a couple of days.
i honestly feel i'm just a bystander these days - like a witness on the sidelines who sees the possibility of a train wreck but is helpless to prevent it! many more prominent voices than mine are crying in the wilderness and alerting the public and still the wheels keep grinding down the track to disaster! what has happened to our democratic processes? for the first time in my life, i feel like jumping ship and finding a new country to call home! and i am not kidding! the usa is not what it was meant to be! or what has been fought and died for by our valiant men and women of the armed forces. i'm even unsure if prayer can change anything about where we are headed. and that is about the bottom side of any hope for our future! what's next?

Thanks for the encouragement, N.T.,
If not for conservative speaking blogs I would feel so alone. Government is steam rolling as fast they can through a process to ram a bill down the throats of Americans. It is all based on FEAR and sinking ship mentality. So much for Hopey Changey.

Barack's idea of transparency seems to be more campaigning. I guess he thinks if he gets out there and campaigns in different cities with his 'question askers' pre-picked to make his case -- that is transparency.

It is maddening. BUT, you are right, it is not too late to MAKE YOUR VOICES... EVEN IF YOU'VE ALREADY DONE IT. (I've called several times) We need to keep calling.

Here is an updated list of Senator's phone numbers to call today!
