Every Vote Matters Nov. 4

"It isn't important who is ahead at one time or another
in either an election or horse race. It's the horse
that comes in first at the finish line that counts".
Harry S. Truman, 1948

One of the reasons I don't really agree in entirety with the early voting process is that there are things that come up within two weeks of an election that could alter a decision one way or another. Obama knows that--- which is why he passionately urged his congregations of followers at every turn to "go right now to the polls".

The following "bit of news" which was a Jan 17 recorded interview by the San Francisco Chronicle somehow kept out of the press until this weekend is a good example.

The coal industry provides 49% of the energy in America!!!

Isn't this ... can we say, interesting? I sure hope all you folks that think you are going to get a tax break under Obama's deceptive economic plan are paying attention! So you get a check from the government and then your electricity rates skyrocket... that's the CHANGE we want, right!

Obama:
"You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers."

Get out tomorrow and vote if you haven't already. Much precious blood has been spilled for the privilege and honor it is to cast your individual vote and it is not to be taken lightly. Every valid and honest vote matters.

Then... go to starbucks and have yourself a FREE cup of coffee.

I'll be keeping myself VERY busy tomorrow (away from the media frenzy) trying not to obsess over the outcome. It will be what it is and I'm doing my best to prepare myself (emotionally and spiritually) for the decision no matter how it turns out.
