Countdown to Election Day

The liberal media is in full spin mode to help depress the Republican vote, Republican donors and Republican enthusiam. I know, that isn't news. I imagine them to do a full court press this week. What is a full court press anyway? I don't know... something to do with basketball strategy, I think.... it sounded appropriate for the moment. :-) We MUST keep smiling!

I'm purposely not listening and reading as much about the election. It is easy to fall into their trap of feeling disheartened. But, don't you see, that is what the people with the microphones in hand want us to feel! Just like in 2000 and in 2004, NO MEDIA can predict the number of voters like you and like me who ALWAYS vote. And we always vote conservative!

Don't give up, people! Keep your heart and your head (and your words) up as we travel down this last week of what has felt like a long journey to the Nov. 4 election.

Polls have their place but this election is so different from any other in history, even the professional pollsters have admitted they are somewhat baffled at the demographics. The IBD polling data is looking good and from what I understand they were one of the most accurate in 2000 and 2004.

I've heard so many bedraggled McCain supporters voicing their discouragement. Don't let what the MSM has been doing with their propaganda (truthfully since Bush was elected 8 years ago -- they've been working on us) of doom and gloom for McCain get you down. I don't think McCain/Palin are depressed and we need to help hold them up as they cross the finish line!

... if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version)

Excellent post, Meems! Amen!

I'm trying not to listen to as much news, either, but it is difficult with Emily's positions on the McCain/Palin's and Rooney's campaigns to ignore them as much as I would like.

some of my thoughts exactly! if we have prayed, given, sifted out the talking heads to the best of our understanding, and will register our vote also, what else can we do? stewing and fretting will not accomplish a thing for our cause. i like McCain's confidence and positive attitude. he is not relying on the polls - he is relying on the American people to be sound enough to know the truth from the rhetoric! and we need to follow his lead! let's trust in our prayers, our efforts and our vote! and yes, let's keep smiling too!

Did you hear that they have extended the hours here in FL? The polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm through Saturday! While that might now excite everyone as much as me, it is good news for those of us who were trying to figure out how to spend their hour lunch break to vote!!!
