It is that love that supplies me with the confidence I need to face each day. So many people talk about it but don't experience its life-altering power. How can we as Christians tap into His love as a viable resource that helps us function daily? Most importantly is to simply tell Him you love Him. Acknowledge Him in everything we do and the power of His love will give us courage to take on each new challenge.
We tend to make things of faith so complicated. Jesus put it simply when the "religious leaders" were asking Him questions in an effort to trap him in his answers. They asked, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
I can picture Jesus being ever so calm and kindly replying, "The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself." He went on to say, " No other commandment is greater than these."
What would the world be like if every Believer just practiced this one scripture? What would my own life and my own world be like if I just practiced this one scripture? My prayer is to keep my spiritual life as uncomplicated and focused on the simple truths Jesus taught as much as possible.
I'm convinced our lives and our circumstances would fall into place with much less struggling if we would keep it simple.
If no other commandment is greater than these ... I think this is a marvelous place to begin.

so true, meems. keep it simple and to the point. Jesus always laid it out that way so there was no mistaking what he was trying to get across.
I love this post meems. It is so where I am trying to be right now. It really is simple - we just make it so complicated. Thanks for the reminder!
