Amazing but True

We can either worship God because He's GOD and therefore intrinsically worthy of all worship, or we can worship God because we love Him and want to worship Him. One day, the entire world (past, present, and future) will worship God because "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess" that He is Lord. I suppose that future worldwide worship will fall under the former option: worshipping because God is God and therefore due our worship...and on that day we will have no choice in the matter. Yet it seems to me that God much prefers the latter option. In fact, much to the dismay of many modern Christian leaders who rant and rave about God's incessant need and demand for glory, it seems that God has set things up so that we get to choose AND (imagine this!) that God actually prefers for us to choose Choice B: to worship Him just because we love Him and want to worship Him. Then God goes about doing wonderfully generous, loving things to win our love. Amazing.
